Over the past 150 years, our rivers and streams have been used as a means to "get rid of waste". The extent of this usage has had real ramification that threatened our standard of living. Over time, several laws have been developed to help us protect the water resource. However, people still break the law and pollute our waters. The Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society strive to change the mindset of those who pollute.

Through education, awareness and hands on efforts, Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society is making a real difference in the quality of the Muscatatuck River in Jennings County.
