Checklists for the next clean up should include signs, scales, food, drop off sites, put in sites, P.R., contacting the Fire Departments and Sheriff Dept., thank you notes, ??? Tires- Joann is going to check into a collector for the tires and Larry is going to talk to Jeff Day to clear the way with the commissioners. It has been suggested each put-in site will have an FMR leader in a canoe to lead the group, possibly have a water proof duffle kit to include a first aid kit, communication device, ??? Also, each drop site would be manned and have communication with a central site (Vinegar Mill/The Commons?) The person at the drop site would have water, know where to place the trash, have some basic supplies, and ??? Radios at sites were discussed. From where, etc.?? GPS markings. Who would do it? Would it be useful? Clean up display boards were suggested to placed throughout the community with our brochures leading up to every clean up. Our first River Watch Water Quality Monitoring will be conducted at the Vernon Commons July 18th @ 6:00 PM with Wanda Brooks.
