Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society Monthly Minutes Opening: 10-3-02 Call to order by president Dan Shade at 7:00 PM. Treasurer's Report: $918.84 balance. Old Business: 319 Grant- FMRS has applied for the grant with a 3 day a week person. At least 5 letters of support were received from local agencies. Greg and Andy readied the report. COSCO donated a table for club use in exchange for a FMRS sticker. Larry is still checking on banners. Tom is still checking on storage. Earth Team Volunteers- Susannah is beginning to collect logs from us concerning time and efforts, then forward them to the proper authorities so that we have documentation for our time and labors. This will help us in future efforts, i.e. 319 grant. New Business Unofficial pre meeting Saturday at the Log Cabin at 7 to 7:30. Ken will order more stickers. Nathan Nichols has joined the group and will be at the clean up. Water Quality Monitoring will be on Saturday morning October 19th at 9:00 to coincide with the national monitoring date of the 18th. Sandra Clark will e-mail Lynn (sp) Hartman concerning the water quality testing. If you have a fold up or short shovel, then bring it to the clean up with you. Request to revisit the date for the spring clean up (6-21-03) and monthly meeting days (Thursdays).
