Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society Monthly Minutes Opening: 3-2-04 Call to order by President Dan Shade at 7:00PM. Attendance: Dan Shade Ken Huff Tom and Sherida Moore Kevin Jayne Susannah Hole Larry Allsop John Huff Steve Mobley Minutes: Annual meeting, no minutes. Treasurer's Report: Local balance is $2297.11. HHH balance is $1000. Old Business: 319 Grant- QAPP first draft sent to Amy Henninger; it will be returned for amendments and shared with the executive committee. Water quality survey- Sim presented. The questions will be fill in the blank and be accompanied by our address and web-site. Five shirts will be given as rewards. Sim will share drafts of the survey. Amy Henninger, Terry Stephenson, and Simeon will meet 3-3-04 at 2:00 to discuss the grant. You are invited. Sim will meet with Brooks and Earl Construction in the morning on 3-3-04 concerning the grant matching clean up at the Rock Crest Falls. An associate membership proposal by Sim and Dan passed and will be implemented. Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) could help in solving our trash problem. Sherida will check it out. NEW BUSINESS County trash pick-up and recycling center- Ken and Simeon went to the Commissioner's meeting and found the fencing has been bid for the new recycling center. The recycling building bidding was approved at Richard Schneider's urging. Through Ken's urging the recycling bins will remain at Scipio. It would be wise to have an FMRS member at County Council meetings and Commissioner's meetings for the foreseeable future. Water grant- we need to complete 3 quarterly reports 3-03 to 11-03. Sim will check the kits to see if the information is there. Projectors- Simeon got on-line quotes for three units. Hitachi 1200 lumens $989 Ben Q 1500 lumens $898 NEC 1200 lumens $995 Sim will check on bulb prices and whether the unit can be purchased locally. Personnel- the committee reached a decision and will inform the candidates, then the public.
