Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society May 04, 2004 7:00 Attendance: Kevin Jayne Susannah Hole Sherida Moore Simeon Stearns Minutes: Approved, moved by Simeon, seconded by Kevin Treasurer's Report: $579.22; $266.50 from Dan's auction included Susannah delivered forty "thank you" notes from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (division of USDA) to FMRS members for being part of the Earth Team volunteers. Included in each note was a package of seeds donated by Gardens Alive! in Lawrenceburg, IN. Old Business: 319 Grant report - Simeon wrote and submitted the QAPP report to Amy for corrections which she supplied. Following her notes, he rewrote and resubmitted the report. He has no further feedback. The DNR needs a map of our watershed with the river areas which we clean marked. 05/10 Simeon will present the BUGS, BUGS, BUGS! Program to preschoolers both A.M, and P.M. 05/11 and 05/12 - Simeon and Sandra will work both days at the Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge testing the water. 05/14 - Simeon will return materials to Fort Harrison (viz. Water Quiz, Blues Traveler, and Incredible Journey). 05/14 This may be the date for the dedication of the Calli Preserve. We will try to get a photo of the Greens, and the coordinators with the new projector. T-shirts - We may try to sell these faster with a sale, $10 for one but $15 for two. New Business: Montrow donated $510 to FMRS for the last cleanup. Sandy Hoene presented the check to Simeon who signed it over to the Community Foundation via Steve Mobley.
