Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society 2008 Annual Meeting February 5, 2008 Pre-registration time found the core group hard at work preparing the displays, final changes to the Powerpoint presentation and food prepared and served by Christinia Koons, Sherida Moore and Marla Jackson. A quick business meeting was held to approve previous meeting minutes, report treasury information and handle any small tasks necessary before the March 2008 meeting. Thanks to the honorable efforts of Sherida Moore, Christinia Koons and Cheryl Trissler, registration went smoothly. All that attended enjoyed snacks, finger foods and drink via pitch-in efforts from all. Kevin Jayne, current Vice President and President-elect, gave a heart-felt welcome speech to all who attended and a glimpse of the future of the organization. Troy Jackson, current Secretary and Vice President-elect, presented the Year in Review Powerpoint Presentation filled with our mission statement, organizational information, event pictures and a our mission for the future. Mayor Harold Campbell then proceeded with the ceremonial induction of officers: * President: Kevin Jayne * Vice President: Troy Jackson * Secretary: Tom Moore * Treasurer: Christinia Koons Keynote Speaker Betsey Vonderheide from the SIWSD spoke to promote their works and to pledge their partnership with the FMRS. Central Muscatatuck Watershed Project Coordinator Robert Miller conducted a well-illustrated Powerpoint presentation itemizing the CMWP organizational goals, accomplishments and future mission. The roundtable discussion comments from the attendees mainly focused on the amazing growth and diligent work of the organization.
