Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society Fall Sweep Review Session Date: Tuesday, October 7, 2008 Place: Perfect Day Cafe Start Time: 7:00 PM End Time: 8:20 PM Desired Outcomes: Review fall sweep. Get an update on Treasurers Report. Follow up on Old Business. Agenda Items: Time Allocated: 1) Call Meeting to Order 2) Approval of Minutes 2 minutes 3) Treasurer’s Report 5 minutes -Wal-mart grant check at HHH Centra checking $917.10 Savings account $642.04 Indiana Bank account $2,043.49 HHH account- at least $1000 We have a work up on the cost of the clean up that will be presented at the November meeting. We will be paying the Uppling Associates bill for hats $798 We need treasurer in control of all the accounts and possibly consolidate some accounts. 4) Old Business A) Muscatatuck River Music Festival- Les volunteered to head committee B) Summer Projects 10 minutes -CMWP- Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, November 1st at the Clifty Inn -Need to make copies/card of tax exempt form and compile “approved vendor list,” action needed…no action taken 5)New Business A) Plan Shady Sweep (October 4, 2008) Review 31 minutes Food- Pizza Kingdom needs a request letter as do all vendors. Continue chili. Marla, Helena, Sherida, and Sandy. Beans in roaster ovens, hopefully a burger flipper Drinks- Tom, IGA, 5 gallon cooler of water, lemonade, cups Gloves- Les will get what we need Registration- several sign-up sections, 3 open ended, make a sheet for Tobias; Sherida, Tricia, Kim, Kelly Cell phone list- Tom, correct wrong #, add Bob Smith, George Haysler 812-350-4828 Trash removal- Tom contact county commissioners and highway department Too many cleaners at park at 11:00, stay and help truck drivers load Two issues: County highway spread thin between the 12-20 sites, possible zonal pick-up, institute a trash sweeper pick-up truck to do mobile trash hot spots After the clean up the work for the county workers is only half complete. Kevin will meet with Mike. Publicity- Radio, Kevin w/WJCP, PDS advertisement, on-line banner (Kevin), attach our website personal emails.
